Salient Features at a Glance

       Vaish Model Sr. Sec. School, an ambitious institution of Bhiwani is the culmination of vision, inspiration and zeal of worthy trustees of the Vaish Mahavidyalaya Trust (Regd.), Bhiwani, Haryana. Its foundation stone was laid down in 1980 by the benevolent hands of prominent social worker, veteran leader, renowned freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Haryana, Late Sh. Banarasi Dass Gupta.

       The idea of setting up such a model institution was first conceived in 1976. Late Shri Bhagirath Mal Buwaniwala and Late Sh. Gauri Shankar Bajaj did a lot of spade work as a result of which ,the school finally took concrete shape in 1980. The school has its own Managing Committee. Sh. K.K. Mohta has been the President since the beginning. Late Sh. G.S. Bajaj was the founder Secretary while Sh. Pawan Kumar Buwaniwala took charge as Secretary in April 1989. The school received its first affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi on 1^st April 1991 and was further upgraded to the Senior Secondary level in April 1994. The School has an exemplary record in academics with Twenty Five batches of AISSE (X) and Twenty Two batches of AISSCE (XII) passing out by 2017. At present, the school caters to the needs of 5250 students from Nursery to XII in the hands of 193 worthy, hardworking, dedicated & experienced teaching staff with due cooperation of 22 office employees and 60 supporting staff.

           The school has been doing exceptionally well in Academics as well as Extra Curricular Activities for the last 37 years. A unique feature of the school is that students as well as staff is honoured every year by our very liberal and benevolent managing committee with Gold and Silver medals alongwith attractive cash prizes for excellent performance in Board results as well as Extra curricular activities at State and National Levels.

       To spread the flame of education to all parts of society specially those living in remote north east region of the country, our managing committee is imparting free of cost education for the last 15 years to many students of that region who are living in the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Bhiwani.

       The school has earned such a brand name and popularity that it has become the first choice of parents in the Bhiwani District for admissions of their wards.

Achievements in Academics

 

1. Board Results:

(i) Our Board results are continuously 100% since 2000 in Class X and since 2010 in Class XII. A summarised view of the  Board Results of both classes since 2003 is as shown in the bar diagram given below :

(ii) Our students score 100% marks quite often in different subjects in AISSCE Class XII examination visually Political Science, Hindi, Mathematics, Chemistry, Accountancy.

(iii) CBSE has awarded special certificates of appreciation to Principal alongwith 17 teachers in 2013-14 and Principal alongwith 16 teachers in  2014-15.

(iv)Our students earn top 0.1% merit certificate of CBSE in different subjects every year in class X as well as XII.

(v) Ex-Principal and now Director Sh. O. P. Joshi was conferred upon C.B.S.E. Award 2009 in public recognition of his valuable and commendable services rendered to the community of the region for the cause of education as a teacher of outstanding merit on 4^th September 2010.

(vi) In AISSCE,March 2008 , our student Vivek Sharma stood First in Haryana State and won a scholarship of Rs. 100000/-.

(vii) Our student Naveli  stood First in District Bhiwani  in AISSCE,March 2017  in Science Stream, thereby maintaining our tradition of getting top ranks in Bhiwani District in Board Exams.

(viii) On the basis of Board Results, Indian Oil Corporation awards a scholarship of  Rs. 24000/- per annum for two years. In the year 2014-15, 29 students of our school got this scholarship amounting to Rs. 13,92,000/-.

 

2. Alumni :

(i) One of our students, Vibha Bhardwaj  of batch 2000 has recently been selected as a member of Senate by the Govt. of Argentina. She has carried out a new breakthrough in the field of cancer research.

(ii) Our Students have been selected in Indian Administrative Services as well as Judicial Services also.

(iii) Many of our students are leading CAs, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Jr. research fellows, Corporate House CEOs, Managers, Bank POs, Officers in Indian Army and Naval Forces etc.

(iv) Every year one or two of our students get admissions for higher studies in top Universities of World like Oxford, Manchester, Cambridge etc.

(v) Many of our Alumni have made us feel proud by giving their top level services in foreign countries like Argentina, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, U.K. U.S.A. etc.

Achievements in Co-curricular Activities

 1.Science Activities :

1. Our students have been representing Bhiwani District at State level Science Seminar organised by National Science Centre, New Delhi every year since 2008. For the years 2007 to 2012, we represented Haryana State at National level Science Seminar too.
2. Our Students have been representing Bhiwani District at Zonal Level Science Quiz organized by Haryana State Council of Science and Technology every year since 2007 and represented Bhiwani District at State Level in 2007-08, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 too.
3. Our students represented Bhiwani District at State Level Science Drama organised by National Science Museum, New Delhi in the year 2009-10 and 2012-13. We also represented Haryana in Northern India Zonal Level Science Drama Contest in these years.
4. Our students have been representing Bhiwani District at State Level Children Science Congress every year since 2009. Our team has been representing Haryana State every year at National Level Children Science Congress too since 2009.
5. Our students have been representing Bhiwani District at State Level in Haryana State Science Essay Writing also for many years since 2011.
6. Our students got cash award of Rs. 5000/- for innovative scientific thinking and its execution in the form of Science Model since 2011.
7. Two of our girls were selected for the prestigious UDAAN Scholarship, started in 2014 for brilliant girls, in the session 2014-15. Two girls got the same scholarship in 2016-17 and one girl in 2017-18.
8. Our team stood first at All India Science Quiz organised by LKS Education Centre, Gotan last year and received cash award of Rs. 11000/- alongwith running trophy.

2. NTSE and HScTSE

1. Special and free coaching is provided to meritorious students for the NTSE Exam conducted by NCERT. One of our students Kanu Priya got selected in the NTSE Exam. Conducted in 2008-09 and got the scholarship.
2. On the basis of NTSE Exam result, SCERT Gurugram provides scholarship of Rs. 36000/- per annum every year. 12 students earned this scholarship in 2010-11, four students in 2011-12 and six students in 2016-17.

3. Literary Activities

1. Our students get top positions in various debates, declamations, speeches, poetry recitation etc at District, State as well as National Levels in competitions organised in different parts of country viz. Gotan, Pilani, Jhunjhunu, Dundlod, etc.
2. Our team got first position at State Level in Geeta Prashnottari Pratiyogita organised at Kurukshetra on the occasion of International Geeta Jayanti Mahotsava.
3. One student of our school got second position in National Level Declamation Competition organised by S.S. Modi Vidya Vihar, Jhunjhunu.
4. Our school team got second position in State Level Philately Exhibition Harpex in 2016.

4. Cultural Activities

1. Our students participate enthusiastically in dance competitions at District, State as well as National Levels with remarkable achievements including top positions alongwith cash awards.
2. Our students stood first at State Level Dance Competition organised by State Child Welfare Council last year and were honoured by Governer Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki.
3. Our dance team stood second in State Level Dance Competition organised by NGO Prayas and got cash award of Rs. 5100/-.
4. Our students bring laurels for the school by participating in Fancy Dress Competitions, Jhanki Competitions, Mono Acting etc. every year. Quite often our tableau get top positions in concerned competitions organised on the occasion of Janamashtami.
5. Our teachers are often awarded with certificates and mementoes at District Level Celebrations of Independence Day and Republic Day.

5.Sports

1. Our students not only participates in Table Tennis, Swimming, Basket Ball, Boxing, Karate, Taekwando and athletics but also get top positions at State, National and International Levels competitions organised by CBSE, State Govt. and Various Associations.
2. This year one of our students, Puneet has got Silver Medal in National Level Boxing event organised by CBSE.
3. One student has got 3^rd position at State Level in Chess.
4. 17 students have got selected for State level in various sports like Chess, Lawn Tennis, Karate, Boxing, Judo, Gymnstics etc.

6. House Activities

1. All the students have been divided into three houses in each class as well as section.
2. Various activities such as Mehandi Competitions, Deep Sajao, Rangoli, Singing, Fancy Dress, Rakhi Making, Kite Making, Power Point Presentation Competitions, Expository and Extempore, Board Decoration, Slogan Writing, Calligraphy etc are regularly organised to sharpen the skills of the students.
3. The Clubs like Eco Club, Science Club, Health Club, Art Club and Cleanliness Club give vent to the creative expressions of the students alongwith their personality development.

7. Campaigns and Rallies

1. The students actively participate in various campaigns and rallies such as anti female-foeticide campaigns, anti-cracker rallies organised by various NGOs against social evils.
2. Inter-community harmony is inculcated in students by developing social, religious and cultural understanding through such campaigns.

8. Discipline:

1. Discipline is one of the key strengths of the school alongwith the propagation of fair means which have brought transparency and justice in the normal working of the school.
2. Complaint Register has been put for the parents to check the discrepencies if any and to carry out the required remedial measures.

9. Parents Teacher’s Meeting:

PTMs are organised from time to time in very cordial atmosphere thereby working upon the suggestions of the parents and implementing them for improvement.

 

10. NCC, Scouts, Guides:

1. The troupe of NCC Airwing students participate regularly in camps and activities organised by NCC (Jr. Division) Airwing, Hisar from time to time.
2. Our NCC Cadets also get CWC and Sahara Scholarship from time to time.
3. The Scouts and Guides of our school participate in all the State Level Camps, National level Jamborees and National Level Adventurous Camps with excellent performance.

 

11. Art & Craft:

1. The school provides Art and Craft educations to all the students on regular basis under the guidance of trained expert teachers.
2. Every year many students get their selections at State Level Painting Competition organised by BBMB (Govt. of India , Ministry of Power). 50 students have got selected in the past few years.

12. Olympiads:

Every year our students get top positions in National Level Olympiads organised by various organisations in all the subjects.

 

13. School Band:

The unique school band participates at National Festival Parades and welcome the state level Dignitaries at various functions.

 

14. Social, Moral and Cultural Awareness:

1. The school provides platform to different clubs and organisations to carry out their programmes like literary competitions, quizzes etc. to spread social and cultural awareness
2. Moral values are inculcated through preachings and sermons of saints and spiritual leaders from time to time.

House Activities :-

A well managed house system for the students & teachers of the school has Love and Kush houses at Nur. & K.G. level and Gandhi, Jawahar and Subhash houses from 1^st to XII classes. House activities regularly take place from time to time throughout the session such as Poster making, Rakhi making, Debate, Poem recitation, Solo Dance, Food without Fire Competition, Kite Making, Mehandi Competition, Science Quiz, Maths Quiz etc.

Rallies & Campaigns :-

To create awareness among the students as well as the society rallies and Campaigns related to social causes and awareness like Save Girl Child, Cleanliness Campaign, Freedom Run, Road Safety Week, Save Water, Rain Water Harvesting, Save Environment are organized from time to time.

Awards & Scholarship :-

Awarding scholarships and awards to the students in academics and co-curricular activities is one of the unique features of the school of instance.

During the session 2014-15, the school distributed scholarships of more than 7 lakh 30 thousand from 1^st to XII classes. The teachers are also awarded for excellent board results. Students are also awarded with Gold plated silver medals for their achievements.
